MEET OUR BREWERS

Pure, traditionally brewed small batch kombucha that liberates the powers of whole herbs. Botanical kombucha is their specialty, drawing on herbalistic principles, ingredients, and practices with biomedical, scientific know how and integrity.

Loquacious kombucha is crafted in small batches using a traditional two stage fermentation method. Their brews are full of probiotic live cultures which are beneficial for your digestive system, as well as antioxidants, vitamins and lots of other nutrients for overall wellbeing and health.

Kombu do things a little differently and believe they've created a kombucha like nothing you’ve ever tasted. Their brews pack a punch of big flavours with balance using locally sourced and seasonal produce, - taste is their number one priority.

Cheriss is focussed on every ingredient - whole raw foods are added to small batch brewed Kombucha to deliver a genuine, hand crafted, perfectly fermented Kombucha just as nature intended.

LORE Australia is an Aboriginal owned and operated health and wellness company using Australian native bio-foods. 

They are creator of Gurbuchi - a native kombucha using Guradji (ger-ra-je) tisane, a traditional native plant.

So, what is kombucha?

 Kombucha tea or 'booch' is a fermented drink made with tea, sugar, bacteria and yeast. Although it’s sometimes referred to as kombucha mushroom tea, kombucha is not a mushroom — it’s a colony of bacteria and yeast. Kombucha tea is made by adding the colony to sugar and tea, and allowing the mix to ferment. The resulting fizzy, tart yet slightly sweet beverage contains vinegar, B vitamins and a number of other chemical compounds.

The exact origins of kombucha are unknown, although Manchuria is commonly cited as a likely place of origin. Some texts date the first brews back to more than 2,000 years ago. The Russians were sipping kombucha as early as 1900 and it is said to have travelled to Europe from there.
